The Southeastern Hay Contest celebrates those who invest their time, energy, and resources to achieve the highest standards in hay production. For decades, Massey Ferguson and Hesston by Massey Ferguson have been at the forefront of developing hay tools that boost efficiency and improve overall quality, helping North American producers consistently harvest the best hay each season. Producing high-quality hay is a season-long commitment that demands investment, innovation, and dedication. Massey Ferguson is proud to collaborate with extension agents, educational institutions, and other industry partners to honor hay producers who utilize every available resource to maximize hay quality, and continues to be a main sponsor for this event, providing the grand prize which includes use of a new Massey Ferguson RK Series Rotary Rake or DM Series Professional Disc Mower along with $2,000 cash.
The 2024 top prize for the Southeastern Hay Contest has been awarded to John Carter from McAlpin, Florida with an RFQ of 309 from the legume and grass mixed hay category! As the overall winner, John receives a choice of the use of a new Massey Ferguson DM Series disc mower or RK Series rotary rake for the 2025 hay production season plus $2,000 in cash! The Southeastern Hay Contest award ceremony was held at the Sunbelt Ag Expo, where winners were announced on October 15, 2024.
