A UNIQUE MF TRACTOR BY A TURKISH FARMER

But, before that, do you know about Turkish agriculture? Let’s quickly discover it through general facts and figures. 

Turkey is the 15th largest agricultural country in the world, and the 4th largest tractor market. Out of the 85 million people living in the country, 15.7% of them work in agriculture! 

The 2.18 million farmers cultivate in total 37.7 million hectares. The main agricultural products are cereals (38.7 million tonnes), milk (9.7 million tonnes), poultry (2.45 million tonnes), beef (1.5 million tonnes), apricots (850,000 tonnes – which is 23% of the total world production), nuts (767,000 tonnes – which is 62% of the total world production), cherries (738,000 tonnes – which is 20% of the total world production) & figs (350,000 tonnes – which is 24% of the total world production).

New tractor sales in Turkey in 2023 totalled 80,012 units. And, you know what? Turkey was the number one market for Massey Ferguson Beauvais tractors in 2023!

In the market segment exceeding 120hp, one in three tractors is a Massey Ferguson. And Orhan’s MF 5S is one of them!

What kind of equipment do you have on your farm?

Our agricultural implements include rotary ploughs, disc harrows and pneumatic planting machines. We also have fertiliser and spraying machinery. In this way, we carry out field preparations and crop care... We also have various livestock equipment, including a mixer feeder. This is how we operate our business.

When did you first encounter the Massey Ferguson brand?

I was introduced to the Massey Ferguson brand in my early childhood. The first tractors we used were the MF 185 model. The durability of these models established a famous saying "Reşat Altını" (as good as gold) about Massey Ferguson. Everyone was talking about it; we were all impressed. Later on, we switched to the 5400 series, and used the 5430 model for 8 years. We sold it second-hand without ever taking it in for servicing or experiencing any malfunctions. This model won our admiration with its features, comfort, and durability. 

I felt like it was a special colour, just for me. Thanks to my dealer and the professional support from the MF By You team, it was very easy to order.  They were all very helpful and worked out the details, so we just had to confirm the order and buy it. In the area, there are a few models in red colour (MF 5S) but none like this one. This is a special occasion for us and we wanted something different. I recommend MF By You to my relatives, neighbours and friends. It makes you feel different.

The dealer service team was always available on the phone to answer tractor-related questions. We were very pleased with the service contact. There are no problems in terms of service or spare parts availability, and I know that our neighbours who also use the brand receive the same attention. When issues occur, the service team comes and tries to solve them quickly. They don’t keep you waiting due to lack of parts, and they solve problems by any means possible. Also, as a brand, we always regard Massey Ferguson as a force that is on our side. For this, we would like to express our thanks to our Tokat/Zile dealer, Memisogullan. They brought and introduced these tractors into our region... Thanks to them!
